JEM Logistics is built on the principles of independence and hands-on service, established by our founder, Daniel Jemmett.
Daniel's journey began nearly twenty-five years ago, starting small with just two wagons around the year 2000. The pivotal moment came in 2016 when Daniel took a decisive leap of faith, establishing JEM Logistics after recognizing the need for a distinct direction from the family business.
Building the new company required conviction, and several key team members immediately joined his vision—many of whom remain the backbone of JEM Logistics today.
This foundation of committed people has fueled extraordinary growth. The company has successfully expanded its fleet from a small operation to 47 vehicles.
Today, we demonstrate our commitment to quality through total operational control. We proudly offer in-house MOT and maintenance services. This comprehensive approach ensures every vehicle is maintained to the highest standard under our own roof, guaranteeing unmatched reliability for our customers
JOHN GRAY
Operation Director
John Gray's career journey is a powerful testament to hands-on experience and dedication within the transport industry. Leaving school at 16 with no formal qualifications, John immediately began working in removals until he was old enough to drive.
His path quickly progressed from driving vans and trucks to recovery work, cementing his life-long career as a truck driver. For eight years, he played a pivotal role in helping another local haulier build their business until they ceased trading.
John initially joined JEM Logistics, meeting Daniel Jemmett, with the simple intention of driving. However, his skills and commitment quickly convinced him to step up and help grow the company. Starting from a fleet of just six trucks, John has been instrumental in taking JEM Logistics forward, building the operation to its current size. He started in this role at JEM Logistics approximately three years ago.
